Revolving Fund Feasability Study for Historic Fort Worth

Established in 1969, the award-winning Historic Fort Worth, Inc. is dedicated to preserving Fort Worth’s unique historic identity through stewardship, education and leadership. Having been involved with saving and managing two landmark properties, Thistle Hill and the Ball-Eddleman-McFarland House, Historic Fort Worth wanted to explore new tools for preservation and to find a vehicle to articulate its relevance to the larger community. In 2016 they hired Hanbury Preservation Consulting to conduct a Revolving Fund Feasibility Study. Using data from stakeholders and members, Hanbury Preservation prepared an assessment report that explored need, mission consistency, objectives and capacity while outlining national best practices as models. The report was the basis for a facilitated board retreat to create consensus on implementation.
